The role

As UI Designer at Beep, you'll design first-class digital interfaces for our global technology clients. Your focus will be on making complex experiences simple, intuitive and beautiful across desktop apps, mobile apps and websites. You’ll consider and contribute to all elements of successful interface design, from user flows and wireframing to prototyping and delivery. Inclusivity and accessibility will be at the heart of your design process and you’ll maintain up-to-date knowledge of UI best practices and trends.

Our working environment is fast-paced and adaptable, so you'll need to be confident juggling multiple projects and deadlines. Our clients are based around the world so we're no stranger to tight timelines – you'll need to demonstrate the ability to balance high-quality output with efficient delivery to ensure we always exceed expectations.

This role will suit an ambitious UI designer who cares about understanding the “why” as well as the “how”. Someone who is enthusiastic about all things digital and wants to work in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary creative team. A passion for technology is a bonus.

What you'll do

• Design accessible and inclusive interfaces for global technology clients
• Produce user flow diagrams/customer journey maps
• Develop and refine high fidelity wireframes and prototypes
• Ideate and produce low fidelity wireframes when required
• Design components, interactions and transitions using appropriate patterns
• Work within client brand and design guidelines
• Ensure designs meet accessibility and usability standards
• Support and contribute to the evolution of style-guides, patterns and systems
• Collaborate with the UX Architect to test user flows and UI designs
• Work with the Creative Director to ensure work exceeds client expectations
• Collaborate with our in-house dev team throughout the development process
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and trends
• Operate in an international environment, cooperating with clients across multiple time zones

What you'll bring

• 3+ years’ experience designing desktop app, mobile app and website interfaces
• Excellent understanding of user-centred design principles
• Strong knowledge of design prototyping, delivery and wireframing tools
• Proficiency in building high fidelity prototypes
• Ability to champion usability and user-centred design within the design team
• Basic understanding of HTML practices to aid collaboration with developers
• Familiarity with colour, typography, branding and broader design principles
• Confidence using industry-standard tools like Adobe XD
• In-depth knowledge of best practice for web standards, accessibility and usability
• Creative flair and sharp attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex design concepts and decisions to stakeholders
• Willingness to take ownership of your own development, so you stay on top of your game
